Schenectady Recycles! is now a committee of ECOS: The Environmental Clearinghouse.  We are pleased to have this association and look forward to events and achievements in the world of recycling, sustainability, and spreading appreciation of our environment. You can find ECOS online at www.ecosny.org, on Facebook or on Twitter. This web page will be discontinued in November.

Email us at schenectadyrecycles@gmail.com. We are also here to answer recycling questions.  Thank you for caring to “reduce, reuse, and recycle.”

Schenectady now offers single-stream recycling

As  of Sept. 19, 2016, the city of Schenectady (and the village of Scotia) began single-stream recycling. This means all recyclables can be co-mingled into one container. You can use the yellow or blue recycle stickers until you get the new single-stream sticker (which you can pick up at Room 9 at City Hall).

Join us at our next meeting

Schenectady Recycles! holds its regular monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at the Hibernian Hall, 1748 State Street, starting at 6:30 p.m.  New members are always welcome!
